A small assessment of School!

Out of the many people that I've come across, half say that school life is better than college life, and half say the exact opposite. I myself don't know which one's true.

But one thing that I know, is that up until tenth, school life is a roller coaster ride! Life is simple and uncomplicated.
As in social life, school too has three classes: The upper class, the middle class and the lower class. Rarely do you come across a below poverty line class!

The upper class, too,  is divided into two sub-categories. One consists of  studious  geeks, who would do anything to reach the pinnacle. They fight for marks as dogs fight for their territory! The identifying features of this class is specs(every geek has one, the one who does not have, is not deemed to be human). The second is that they are well dressed. The shirt is crisp and the pants are smoothly pressed. Some may have the top button of their shirt secured firmly in place in a bid to look studious. Others may attempt to use heavy English words in their sentences, probably with a fake accent. They wrinkle their nose in disgust when they see--they don't talk to--the middle or lower class students.

The other sub-class is more acceptable. They are studious no doubt, yet they are more casual about their ranks. They have no qualms about hanging out with other classes.

The middle class includes children who achieve respectable percentages. Their goal is to attain at least an 'A' grade. There are sub-categories here too. One consists of students who can top but are too lazy or too shy too come in the limelight. They attain 'A' without even trying! The other has students who are a little less bright than others but extremely hard-working.They achieve 'A' after hours of studying. They put almost as much efforts as the geeks!

The lower class is carelessness personified! Their sole aim is to scrape the passing marks by hook or crook and when they do, they are on top of the world. Even the students who top the school will not rejoice as much as these guys who have 'passed' the exams! One of the most common sentences among these guys  after exams is,          ' Kitne mein latkenga?'

Here failure in three or more subjects is a 'C' grader. Failure in two gets a 'B'. Failure in one  gets an 'A'. And the guys who fails in none commands utmost respect. He is the superior among a league of inferiors!

School life has no complicated  tensions. There are no tangled wires which leave you wondering which wire goes in which slot.School life is like a wireless device.

The things giving tensions aren't long lectures or heart-breaks. They are incomplete assignments and home-works.The doom days are not the day you propose or the day you get caught while pulling a serious prank on a teacher or getting caught bunking classes in the canteen. They are the eves of the exams, the day you get caught by an evil teacher for not completing books. Or the ultimate day of stress and tension: The report day!

In school--I know the really, really 'Chheechore' guys will agree with me, even though I don't support their ideals--you get to sit next to girls! ;D   In school, the bonding is between the whole class, not just among a bunch of friends.

In college, you go to the canteen and buy from a limited range of products. But in school you sit in a loose circle with your friends, eating and sharing your dabbas. In every group, there is one guy who brings the most delicious items and the others wage war on his dabba. There is obvious banter.

I admit, college life too has its own advantages. But school life has something college life lacks. Innocence. In pranks, in comments, in getting beaten up.

That was my assessment of some of the snippets of school life. Hope its good!!
